A video of a toddler climbing to his crib and standing like he is "possessed" became viral on social media. Many doubted the authenticity of the footage but the parents of the baby insisted it was raw and unedited.
The 52-second clip, seen below, shows young Connor crying and balancing on one side of his crib like he has some kind of superpower. Daily Mail said the toddler was seen standing upright on the railing of his crib while crying and his eyes flashing brightly.
The video scared a lot of netizens who concluded that a bad spirit was inside Connor's body. However, there were also people who doubted if the video was authentic. Daily Mail said that a part of the video showed Connor disappearing before he fell on the mattress.
"This will end up being part of a new horror movie... I guess," one comments on the video read. Another netizen also argued that the child was not possessed but had great balancing skills. "Not possessed it's just good at balancing.. It would however been scary if the baby fell forwards," read the comment.
However, Connor's parents, Chuck and Kate Booth, said in an Inside Edition report that the video was raw and not edited. They, however, claimed that their son was not possessed because his eyes were glowing only because of the night vision camera.
Paranormal investigator Ashley Darkwood also supported the claims of the parents telling Metro that the couple would not have made it available on the Internet if their kid was "suffering." "It is, of course, possible that the child has abnormally good balance for its age!" she added.
Darkwood also explained that from previous experiences, the behavior of possessed individuals is "more subtle." She said that through this, the entity inside the body cannot be easily detected or revealed.
