Jana Kramer admits struggling being a first-time mom. Like most parents, Kramer feels disoriented most of the time, and can't even remember when she last brushed her teeth.
Kramer recently shared her journey to motherhood with People. Two months after giving birth to Jolie Rae, she's surprised to learn that she coped up better than she expected. Her friends, in particular, had expected the country singer to break down in her new role as a first-time mom. Luckily though, motherhood suited her. In fact, she told People that she always wanted to become one.
However, Kramer admits the occasional slip in hygiene as a result of sleepless nights and everything else in between. In an exclusive interview with People, she was quoted saying, "I don't wear anything nice anymore, I have spit-up on me constantly, I haven't showered in three days, and I'm not quite sure when I brushed my teeth last."
She also expressed her anxiety even before her daughter was born. When baby Jolie Rae was finally born, Kramer told People that motherly instinct naturally kicked in. The "Said No One Ever" singer just knew what each cry of baby Jolie Rae meant.
Kramer revealed that the most difficult part is to see baby Jolie Rae cry. Kramer said that Jolie Rae is such a gassy baby. She's always online trying to figure out ways to ease the baby's pain. With the help of her husband, Michael Caussin, they alternately switch feeding baby Jolie. They're thankful to get some four or five hours of sleep each night.
Kramer happily shared how hands-on Mike when it comes to the baby. He would log in details of her feeding and pee on an app. He seems to be on top of everything.
Kramer is nominated in this year's Academy Country Music Awards but she won't be bringing baby Jolie with her in Vegas.
Despite admitting that she no longer feel glamorous after baby Jolie arrived, Glamour has noted the 33-year old penchant for wearing cut-off denim pants. Check out Kramer's hit song "Said No One Ever" below:
