Tennis sensation Roger Federer and wife Mirka are pregnant with their third child!
Federer announced the happy news to the fans on Twitter. "Mirka and I are very happy to share the news that Myla &Charlene will be big sisters in 2014! Happy Holidays," the 32-year-old tweeted Tuesday.
Federer's agent Tony Godsick confirmed the pregnancy news to The Associated Press. Although, further details about are not disclosed.
The tennis star married his long-time girlfriend in April 2009 and welcomed twin girls, Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, in July same year.
The couple first met during 2000 Summer Olympics. Mirka, who too was a tennis player, retired in 2002 due to constant foot injury. It is a known fact that Mirka has been a support to the tennis legend. She is also seen attending most of his tennis matches and cheering him constantly.
Federer, who is heartthrob for many of his fans, revealed that he loves the role of father. "It's an amazing feeling to be called a dad," he told PEOPLE after his twins were born. "I take a lot of pride in that title."
"I'm hands on as much as I can because every day is something new and something different," he said. "I don't want to miss anything."
Apart from the celebration of the happy news, Federer is all geared up for upcoming 2014 Brisbane International that will begin from December 29 and will continue till January 5. According to media reports, Federer will be joined by his family, wife Mirka and twin daughters later to have some gala time together.
