Beauty & Pin-Ups have revealed their newest beauty campaign model Katie Meade. The new face of the beauty campaign for a hair brand has crossed boundaries and has shown the real beauty of a person who has Down syndrome.
The Beauty & Pin-Ups' hair care line which is "Fearless Hair Care Rescue" has shown the real beauty versus the unrealistic type of beauty that is commonly represented by hair care companies. This beauty campaign has started to inspire not only the avid users of Fearless Hair Care Rescue but also thousands of women around the world.
The trending photo of the 32-year-old Meade from Des Moines, Iowa, shows her wearing a vintage-style bun hairstyle and a black shirt with the word "Fearless." Meade is the very first model in history with Down syndrome for a beauty campaign.
According to People Style, Beauty & Pin-Ups CEO Kenny Kahn, said, "The Beauty & Pin-Ups brand is a celebration of the empowerment of a woman and what it took to be a pin-up in 1935, and carrying that message in a modern sense."
In the same report, before Meade joined the Beauty & Pin-Ups hair care company, she was working in the U.S. treasury office as Office Generalist. Because of her role as the global ambassador of an organization that provides support and opportunities for people with disabilities called Best Buddies International, she was scouted to be the new face of Fearless.
Meade, who is now inspiring a lot of women, have been enjoying being a part of the company. In the interview done by People page, she said, "It's pretty cool because I love being a part of the Beauty & Pin-ups family, and I love being a part of Best Buddies and interacting with people."
It shows that being a model of Beauty & Pin-Ups is very natural for her and that could be because she is used to being the ambassador of Best Buddies who inspires a lot of people around the world.
