Adele stunned her audience with her answer when she was asked about her stand on breastfeeding. The British singer pointed out her views stating that there's nothing wrong with mothers who would not opt for breastfeeding.
Adele was asked about her stand on breastfeeding during her concert at London's O2 Arena last week, she was asked by a fan about her stand on breastfeeding, according to Huffington Post. She then answered the query by pointing out that every mother has the freedom to choose between breastfeeding and formula.
"All those people who put pressure on us, you can go **** yourselves, alright?" Adele said during her concert. "Because it's hard. Some of us can't do it... I managed about nine weeks with my boobs. Breastfeed if you can, but don't worry, Aptamil's just as good."
Adele then added that she did attempt to breastfeed, but she was no longer able to produce breast milk. She did however breastfed her son, Angelo, for 9 months before shifting to formula.
"All I wanted to do was breastfeed and then I couldn't and then I felt like, 'If I was in the jungle now back in the day," Adele added. My kid would be dead because my milk's gone.'"
Adele's outrageous breastfeeding comments came after Jamie Oliver's statement on breastfeeding. Telegraph cited that Jamie Oliver's breastfeeding remarks caused a rampage among mothers that are having a hard time nourishing their child with breast milk.
"If you breastfeed for six months women are 50 per cent less likely to get breast cancer. When do you hear that? Never," Jamie Oliver stated on his Soapbox. "It's the next big thing," he nodded sagely. Breastfeeding is, easy and convenient."
Numerous mothers were offended by what Jamie Oliver said when he cited that breastfeeding was "easy." Despite the negative backlash, Jamie Oliver apologized for his remarks.
