'Batman V Superman' News & Update: Movie Suffers Greatly In Box Office Sales; Can't Overtake 'Deadpool' Ticket Sales

Despite Superhero movies being known to gather a huge numbers in the box office as well as keeping the number one spot for weeks, it seems like Warner Bros. adaptation of DC Comics biggest Superheroes, Batman and Superman, is one of those exception because the movie "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is suffering in the box office with a 70 percent drop in ticket sales.

Seventy percent is quite a large number especially the fact of how much money Warner Bros. must have put into the "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" film. However, according to them, there is nothing to worry about the 70 percent drop in ticket sales week after week since "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" hit theaters.

"We're not concerned with the drop. No matter how you slice it, to get to $52 million on any given weekend is an enormous accomplishment. We're most focused on where we are in total. And our global number is huge," Jeff Goldstein, Warner Bros'. domestic distribution chief, said concerning the drop in ticket sales with "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice" film.

According to Jeff Goldstein, already "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" has overpassed other superhero movies including "Thor," "The Wolverine," "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Man of Steel." Although the domestic distribution chief of Warner Bros. did say that despite the fact that "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" has passed all of the said movies above, it will not do as well as Marvel's "Deadpool" film.

However, one should know that there have been numerous films put out by Warner Bros. that seems to suffer a drop in box office sales all throughout their release and this includes the super successful "Harry Potter" films. Warner Bros. still hopes that "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will possibly hit the $1 billion box office sales but it seems impossible now.
