'Dr. Strange' Release Date & Update: Dr. Strange Visits Comic Book Store In New York; Might Possibly Take Captain America's Side?

Marvel is known to pull all sorts of publicity with their characters and film. In fact, one known publicity stunt they pulled for one of their superhero films was when a large "Mjolnir" was placed in the busy streets of different cities to promote their film "Thor."

Now that news has come out that there will be a live action adaptation of the Marvel comic "Dr. Strange," Marvel has started there crazy publicity stunts again.

In a recent video, the character Dr. Strange, which is played by Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, Star Trek), was seen going into a New York comic book shop. This antic seemed quite strange but it is not out of the character of Dr. Strange himself.

Marvel's only Sorcerer Supreme visited the famous JHU Comic Bookstore in Manhattan fully clad in his Dr. Strange costume. Expectedly, he invariably shocked and awed everyone in the comic book store at that time.

Fans were able to take numerous pictures with Benedict Cumberbatch's Dr. Strange and even signed some stuff. One particular photo the actor took was posing alongside a "Dr. Strange" comic book, which fans founds very funny.

Marvel's "Dr. Strange" will be a Disney Production. However, it seems like from the leaked photos of the actors and actresses in set and it looks very promising.

In other news, it seems like there is a possibility that Dr. Strange might join the Avenger team but this is very far off. There is one GIF that is circulating around the internet, showing Dr. Strange on Captain America's side taken from a small snippet of "Captain America: Civil War" movie trailer. Several rumors sparked when it was reposted by the Russo Brothers.

"Dr. Strange" film production has recently wrapped up their filming in New York. It will hit the theaters on Nov. 4, 2016. Other than Benedict Cumberbatch in the film, it will also star Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Tilda Swinton.
