'Frozen 2' Release Date & Spoilers: Chris Buck Teases That Viewers Will Have Fun With Elsa

"Frozen" is a huge success and most, if not all, are ecstatic to see its sequel. However, after over two years "Frozen 2" is still not out. There have been rumors that the title is cancelled, but the stars of the sequel deny such allegations.

Parent Herald previously reported that "Frozen 2" is cancelled to pave the way for its Broadway version. To appease the fans who are disheartened that the "Frozen" sequel will not make it on the big screens, there will be a "Frozen" holiday special.

However, Kristen Bell debunked the reports circulating online that "Frozen 2" is cancelled. "The story is great, and they exude quality," she told Collider, suggesting that "Frozen 2" is in the works. "What I know about that whole team is that they wouldn't just put something out to put it out."

"That's why it took them so long to even announce that we were doing a second one. Generally, when you have a first successful movie you want to make a second one," Kristen Bell explained. "It took them a while because they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging and I think they found it."

Meanwhile, director Chris Buck teases that fans will see a new Elsa in "Frozen 2." As per DigitalSpy, "Frozen 2" will feature the next adventures of Anna, Kristoff and Olaf.

However, fans will witness the biggest change in Elsa, who used to be so reserved for fears that her superpower will hurt the people around her. Reports claim that Elsa will be a bit more loose in the upcoming film.

"[In Frozen] she had such a dramatic journey, and at the end, she's just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again," Buck told Fandango. "That's what was really good about the short [2015's Frozen Fever] - we could have fun with Elsa. And that personality... you will see in the next one."
