Amy Schumer Slams Glamour In Instagram Post: ‘Trainwreck’ Actress Not Happy With Glamour’s Plus Size Issue

Amy Schumer expressed on Twitter and Instagram her disappointment towards Glamour magazine's special issue on plus size girls. The magazine allegedly featured the "Trainwreck" actress in its plus size issue, "Chic At Any Size," without consulting her.

According to Time, Schumer was extremely unhappy to be featured on Glamour's special issue on plus size women considering she goes by size 6 to 8. She posted her sentiments on her Twitter and Instagram account on Tuesday, saying that her size doesn't include her in the plus size category. Plus size is considered size 16 in the United States, according to the "Inside Amy Schumer" star. While Schumer accepted the magazine's "Trailblazer of the Year" award in June 2015, she isn't too happy that Glamour has included her in the "plus size" list, especially without her permission.

E! Online adds that she was listed under the headline "Women Who Inspire Us," together with Melissa McCarthy, Adele, and Ashley Graham. "Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts?" she captioned a snippet of the magazine. "Mine are not cool glamour not glamorous."

Labels like "plus size" are very sensitive issues among women. In fact, Schumer's Twitter has garnered various reactions about the subject. On the side of Glamour, a spokesperson denied labelling the "Trainwreck" actress as plus size. She further explained in the statement that the special edition was aimed at women size 12 and up. They, later on, apologised for any offence that it has resulted to.

Schumer has been very vocal in terms of body image. She admitted to becoming emotional about this matter. She credited her stylist, Leesa Evans, for helping her develop a positive body image. Check out the "Trainwreck" actress funny guesting on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show:
