Actress Claire Danes warned parents about traveling with a toddler. The mom of 3-year-old Cyrus said there are perils when going to places along with a growing kid.
Toronto Sun said Danes told new father Seth Meyers in an interview that it is a struggle to travel the world with a toddler. "The worst point is when they're starting to walk, but they don't have the attention span to watch a show, so they just want to wander the aisles and you just want to rip every hair out of every follicle," she explained.
Danes and husband and Hanibal actor Hugh Dancy would frequently bring their son to various countries where they have shoots or projects. She, however, claimed that parents would "get past that point" when they feel burdened during trips with their kids.
Despite the perils, Danes said Cyrus really love going to places. One of the familiar places for him is Germany where the hit TV series "Homeland" was filmed.
"He went to Kindergarten in Berlin," the actress was quoted by Toronto Sun as saying. "He speaks a little German...mostly 'nein' (No)."
According to Daily Mail, most of Danes projects required her to travel to different countries. Showtime's "Homeland" took her not only to Germany but also to Israel where parts of the show were shot. In the action-drama show, the actress plays the role of bipolar CIA agent Carrie Mathison.
The actress' concerns do not only apply to Hollywood stars like her but also to other moms and dads who struggle when they travel with their kids. Travel website Skyscanner advised parents to always carry sources of entertainment for their children like gadgets or portable DVD players.
Giving them presents during the flight, as per the same report, will also distract them and make them feel like it is just a fast plane ride from one country to the other. It was also suggested that parents bring food kids will enjoy and treats like candies.
