Your Kids Can Finally Go To Hogwarts! 5 Best Secrets To California Theme Park Opening April 7

The new "Harry Potter" theme park is finally opening to the public at Universal Studios in California on April 7, with Hogwarts as its main attraction. Dubbed The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the site follows a faithful layout based on the film and visitors will be able to discover some of its secrets. Read on to know what these are.

1) Hogwarts Express

Visitors entering the Wizarding World will get to see the replica of the Hogwarts Express first and they can sit on the carriage for photos. Sights will play on the green screen in the surrounding, as if the guests are really traveling into Hogwarts, per Yahoo.

2) Hogsmeade

First stop from the train is at the town of Hogsmeade, where guests can explore all the wizarding shops. Displays are the props used in the movie, so "Harry Potter" film fans will be able to recognize these. Stores sell actual knick-knacks, souvenirs and other items and restaurants are also open to cater to hungry guests, so save up for some Butterbeer!

If you're keen-eyed, you will be able to spot Dobby at The Three Broomsticks and you'd have to watch out for fake poop around The Owl Post.

3) Hogwarts Castle

At the end of the site is Hogwarts Castle and guests will be greeted by the famous Sorting Hat, which will be dishing some wise advice. All around the castle are the founders' portraits and visitors are encouraged to listen closely to what they have to say, too. Harry, Ron and Hermione are in the school and they will be guiding visitors to The Forbidden Journey.

4) Hogwarts Restroom

Per E! Online Moaning Myrtle is in one of the restrooms. However, don't be afraid if you do hear her make a sound as she remains pretty much harmless.

5) Voldemort

The one who must not be named won't make an appearance in the Wizarding World, but you can bet the staff will do something if you happen to say his name. You could try, but be prepared for what will happen.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in California was developed, designed and constructed for five years and it's featured with hyper-realistic 3D-HD to ensure a wonderful experience. Ticket prices are from $90 - $115 for a one-day admission.
