MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, Price, News & Update: New Laptop Will Come With Detachable Keyboard, Screen & Touch ID?

There is no doubt that Apple's upcoming laptop, MacBook Pro 2016 is among the most anticipated gadgets this year. In fact, the powerful laptop has taken the spotlight even before it sees the light of day.

Initially, customers thought that the MacBook Pro 2016 would be introduced at Apple's March 21 event. Unfortunately, to the dismay of many, it was out of sight. Following its absence in the recently concluded spring event, there are rumors that the new MacBook will be out in June.

MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date & Updates

Parent Herald previously reported that MacBook Pro 2016 would be released on June 13. Apple's WWDC is scheduled on June 13 to 17, which triggers the speculations that the new model of MacBook Pro will be unveiled sometime along those dates.

Apple has not confirmed any of these reports. Thus, one should take this with a grain of salt. However, many are still hoping that this is true, that the Cupertino-based tech giant will finally unveil the anticipated MacBook Pro 2016.

Meanwhile, among the interesting rumors surrounding the MacBook Pro 2016 is that it will arrive with a detachable keyboard and screen, as reported by TechRadar. However, this is a bit unlikely, given that this feature is already available in iPad Pro. In fact, their new laptop line, the 12-inch MacBook, doesn't even include it.

Is it practical for Apple to include this feature in MacBook Pro 2016? Ryan Reith, program director with IDC, doesn't think that the iPad, as a category, grows.

"The way that we tend to view the iPad Pro is that it's kind of a stop-gap solution until they get a Mac line to the point of a touch screen and possibly detachable keyboard," he said as per Forbes. "I think [a touch Mac] is inevitable. There's nothing from the supply chain or from Apple that supports that right now - I just think it's inevitable...I don't know if that's two years out or what."

TouchID For MacBook Pro 2016

Meanwhile, there are also rumors that MacBook Pro 2016 will include TouchID fingerprint recognition, but this feature is not final yet. Per TechRadar, the same feature was reported in the recent Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad update, which didn't happen, either.
