J.Lo 'Ain't Your Mama' Single: Diva Hit For Collaborating With Producer Accused Of Rape

Not everybody was amused with the release of Jennifer Lopez's latest single "Ain't Your Mama." Many netizens criticized the pop diva for collaborating with Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald) for the song despite knowing that the producer has been accused of rape by singer Kesha.

According to New York Daily News, many people on Twitter observed the irony of the song to its co-writer and producer. One Twitter user even mentioned that the collaboration and the message of the song is a funny mix.

"'Ain't Your Mama,' @JLo's new single, is a ladies anthem that was produced BY Dr. Luke," read the tweet of user kneepow. "Funny. Don't buy the song. #SaveKesha."

On the other hand, Messy Danii said that Dr. Luke's work of J. Lo's new single disappointed her. "I was really looking forward to new music by @JLo but learning that it was produced by Dr. Luke makes me not want to support it...sry," her tweet read.

Time explained that the song is about empowering women and sending a message that the diva does not have any time for "man-child behavior." The lyrics of the song mentions that the singer will not cook or wash dirty clothes for her man because she is her own boss. The message is clearly about giving women power and not abusing them, just like what Dr. Luke is accused of doing.

However, New York Daily News said that Kesha is still embroiled in a messy battle to prove that Dr. Luke drugged and raped her after she celebrated her 18th birthday. The "Tik Tok" singer has reportedly struggled with her career since she claimed that Sony would not give proper promotion to her songs if she changed producers.

It was also highlighted that Dr. Luke has not been charged with any crime since a court had dumped Kesha's case noting that it is not properly supported. The producer has also since denied his involvement in any crime.
