A lot of Hollywood moms have always find it hard to balance their work lives from their personal ones, especially once they have children. For them, it is a struggle to be working long and far away from their kids while being torn at doing their passion. One of the famous Hollywood moms who tried her best to juggle being a normal mom and an actress is Kate Hudson.
In an essay Kate Hudson wrote for InStyle Magazine for their May 2016 issue, the "Something Borrowed" star talked about how it is being a mother to two sons, Ryder and Bing, and that sometimes she feels like she is a bad mom. Both of Kate Hudson's sons have different fathers. Ryder, who is now 12, is fathered by Kate Hudosn's ex-husband Chris Robinson, while Bing, who is four, is fathered by Kate Hudson's ex-fiance Matt Bellemy.
"I was really young, like, 23, when I had Ryder," Kate Hudson shared on her essay. "So, our relationship has always been [a little unusual]. I mean, we're close, and I am his mom. I'm big on manners. I'm big on politeness. I'm big on gratitude. But I'm a bit of a wild mom."
Kate Hudson wrote the essay about being a mom to promote her book "Pretty Happy." The "Fool's Gold" star then continued on to write in the essay how good it is to have time for herself but also being away from her kids make it less easier.
"I'm so happy to have some time to myself and excited to have this experience," Kate Hudson shares with the mag's readers, though she emphasizes that she misses her little ones. "There's this tight, pulling sensation that never goes away that it comes at the cost of missing a week of my children's lives, and it aches. [However] I wouldn't be the best mom I could be if I didn't follow my creative endeavors. I would feel an emptiness that would be felt in our home. So a stay-at-home mom will never be my life and that will never be my kids' experience of me."
