This is one terrifying case of a dentist appointment gone wrong. An Indiana man thought that a trip to the dental office will give him the brightest smile after an hour but the opposite happened. He woke up on the dentist's chair, covered in blood, without clothes, and with no teeth left.
Fox 5 San Diego reported that 36-year-old Donny Grisby went to the dentist expecting four tooth extractions. He received the shock of his life when he learned that the dentist chose to pull out all of his teeth out of fear that an infection would spread from one abscessed tooth.
Amanda, wife of Grisby, went with him for the dental appointment. After several hours of waiting, she became worried that a cursory tooth extraction, albeit four, would take so long. She demanded answers from the dentist and was shocked to find out that the dental team took out all of her husband's teeth.
According to Amanda, "There is blood all over him, all over his shirt...and my husband is droopy eyed, not responsive." WGNTV reported that Amanda immediately called the ambulance. The medical personnel took the unresponsive Grisby to Columbus Regional Hospital.
Since Grisby was drugged during the dental procedure gone wrong, he could barely remember what happened. The only thing he was sure of was the feeling of shame and embarrassment when everything sunk in.
Grisby still suffers from blood clots, which resulted from the procedure. Grisby and his family are planning to file a malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Aaron Strickland of White River Dental in Columbus, Indiana.
