While "Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2" is still a long way off, news about "Vol. 3" is already out. Of course, storylines and other characters aren't mentioned yet, but it's reassuring to know that the interstellar gang composed of a half-human, a green assassin, a talking raccoon, a tree (now a twig) with limited " vocabulistics" and a walking thesaurus will stay over the long haul.
The news comes from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige who, while being interviewed by io9, said that the crew at Marvel are already looking forward to the future, far beyond the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War." Feige said that they are planning to have "GOTG 3" included in Marvel Phase Four.
"We're only working on what's been announced through the end of 2019," said Feige. "And it is still a big chess board for 2020 and beyond, but certainly I would say Guardians 3 is [a title that's] up there. I don't know what exactly the order will be."
A Growing Universe
During the same interview, "Civil War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo said that the upcoming movie will set the stage for an even bigger story that will end with two "Avengers" movies. These movies, despite being called "Infinity Wars part 1 and 2," are two different movies, said the Russos.
"The movies are very very different from one another," said Anthony. "It's not a part one and part two scenario, necessarily. They're just two different expressions."
That sounds exciting. And with Marvel's phase four being planned as of the moment, fans can expect to see more thrilling films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe coming in the future. "GOTG3" could even set the stage for other characters to enter the ever-expanding MCU, reports Comicbook.com.
A Growing Child
Meanwhile, "GOTG" actor Chris Pratt, also known as "Star-lord" Peter Quill, is spending a good amount of daddy time with his 3-year-old boy, Jack. The actor reportedly went out with his little boy to teach him how to fish, reports ETOnline.
In an Instagram post, the proud dad said that Jack will be his partner in the bass masters pro fishing, when the child grows up. Apparently, the 36-year-old dad is so proud of and hopeful for his little boy.
