A lot of hype has been building for the new "Spider-Man" film ever since it was announced last year. Marvel has been teasing fans quite vigorously about the masked vigilante with Spider-Man appearing in the new "Captain America" film.
Now, the anticipation is higher than ever especially that Sony and Marvel have released a lot of new information about the new "Spider-Man" film. The official title of the "Spider-Man" film and the official poster were already unveiled. Now, could the villains be the next to be announced?
The newest "Spider-Man" film, which Sony and Marvel title "Spider-Man: Homecoming," will follow the story of Peter Parker (Tom Holland), who later on becomes the Spider-Man as a teenager. As recently reported by Parent Herald, the titled "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is a choice the producers made since it will follow the comic story arc of this particular title that also has some appearances from Iron Man and Captain America.
There were also numerous speculations on who will be the villain in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" since villains in superhero movies are very pivotal to the story line and where the story will go. Weeks ago, rumors have already been floating around that Vulture will play the villain in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and that the most probable actor to play it in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is none other than Michael Keaton.
Meanwhile, the truth of Michael Keaton playing Vulture in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is yet to be confirmed. Other rumors of the villains in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" are the Sinister Six, which is a notorious gang of villains in the comic that include Vulture, Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin, Sandman, Electro, Venom and Scorpia.
Word has it that Vulture will be in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" but he will not play as the main baddie. So, it is possible that the Sinister Six will be joining the villain ranks in "Spider-Man: Homecoming." Many Marvel Comic Universe fans are extremely excited for the reboot of "Spider-Man" in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," especially now that Marvel has the rights to the superhero again.
