Who would ever though that the lovely Kate Middleton and America's Sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence would have something in common? During the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's trip to Bhutan, Princess Kate had a blast trying her hand at archery. She looked so good shooting an arrow, she might just be Britain's Katniss.
A Game Of Archery
Aside from having two of the most beautiful faces in the world, Kate Middleton and Jennifer Lawrence both love shooting arrows. Princess Kate, or rather, Princess Katniss, as People referred to her, was wearing a long Kira skirt that made her look like a Bhutan goddess.
Prince William fired the first two shots, which Daily Mail reported overshot the target. Well, the good prince might have been used to shooting an arrow from longer distances and not just 50 yards. The arrows landed on the road right behind Changlingmethang National Archery Ground.
Katniss Everdeen Hopeful
While Prince William's aim exceeded the 50-yard mark, Kate Middleton wasn't as lucky. Although she was clearly enjoying the moment, she seemed apologetic at having done a poor job at archery. She must have been aiming to do a Katniss Everdeen but wasn't able to. Whatever the outcome was, the Duchess of Cambridge showed she was a good sport.
Some factors that may have affected Kate Middleton's aim were donning a very long Bhutanese-inspired outfit and wearing cream Rupert Sanderson heels on a grassy area. Despite these two factors weighing in on the princess, she still managed to shoot the arrow.
Courageous Fellows
Other than the lovely royal couple standing in the middle of a field, looking elegant in a suit and a gown shooting arrows, what caught the attention of many was the "arrow-pickers." They're a group of men who pick up the arrows at the end of the field, who are not even bothered at the thought that flying arrows may hit them.
On the overall, Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoyed trying their hand at archery during their Bhutan trip. What do you think the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will do next in Bhutan?
