Kevin and Danielle Jonas Welcomed New Baby Girl This Super Bowl Sunday

Kevin and Danielle Jonas welcomed their new daughter this Super Bowl Sunday after eight hours of labor.

Alena Rose Jonas was born amid a flurry of tweets from her father, the oldest of the three Jonas brothers, as well as plenty of product placement for the baby products company Dreft.

"Love using Dreft as we prepare for Baby Girl! Follow Dreft for exclusive content from our growing family!" the soon-to-be father tweeted Feb. 1.

The tweet was followed a day later by yet another excited plug.

"#babyjonas is on the way!! Follow dreft for all the updates!!!!!!!!! It's showtime," Kevin posted just after 7 a.m. Sunday. Then, nearly three hours later, came: "Here we going pushing!!!!"

The latter garnered more than 30,000 retweets and a fair amount of cringes via the social media site.

"We are overjoyed at the birth of Alena Rose Jonas," the couple said in a statement.

"She is precious! We could not be more excited to start building our family together. We want to thank our family and friends for their love and support, and our fans for all of their well wishes."

Kevin told US Weekly he was ready to be a father.

"I can't wait for Daddy days," he gushed. "I'm excited for the days I can just spend with her by myself. I want to take her to not typical little girlie things. I want to go to baseball games with her. Even just time at home -- me and her one-on-one while [Danielle] goes to the grocery store or out with her friends. Something to give her a break too. She deserves it."

Kevin and Danielle were married in December 2009.
