While Rose Byrne is still coping with becoming a new mom, Susan Sarandon admits on being a meddling parent during the screening of their movie "The Meddler" last Monday.
"I meddle in their lives and they meddle back. It's an equal meddling dynamic," the actress revealed. However, both "The Meddler" stars shared that they have pretty much laid back parents, People reports. Sarandon, 46, shared with The MOMS that she was the oldest of her nine siblings so her parents had their hands full. Byrne's echoed the same sentiments. "They're very low-key and when they actually do meddle, it's a big deal because they rarely do it, so it's more powerful in that way - when they do speak up about something they feel strongly about it."
The "Neighbors" actress also shared her two cents about motherhood. She recently gave birth to her son, Rocco Robin three months ago. The 36-year-old actress said that she simply felt sleep deprived. "[Motherhood] has been a challenge, the first three months. It's intense. My brain's really fried."
Sarandon on the other hand shamelessly admits on butting in on her children's life. She jokingly tells everyone that it's her job to embarrass them occasionally. She believes that it's better to be involved in their lives than being not there. She's grateful though that her kids understand that about her.
"The Meddler" follows Marnie Minervini, a widowed mother, who moved from New Jersey to Los Angeles to get close to her daughter, Deadline reports. She was prompted to make the move after her husband passed away. However, her daughter Lori feels that the move doesn't seem to be a good idea.
Aptly titled as "The Meddler," Marnie makes contact communication with her daughter, checking up on her almost every hour. She even visits Lori's psychiatrists just to know the in and goings of her daughter's life. When Lori has to go to New York for a business trip, she has to face the reality of being alone.
"The Meddler" will open in theaters on Friday, April 22. Check out the trailer below:
