Kristen Stewart Love Scenes: 'X-Men' Actor Nicholas Hoult Says Steamy ‘Equals’ With Robert Pattinson's Ex Felt Weird

"Twilight" star Kristen Stewart heats up the screen with "X-Men" actor Nicholas Hoult in the film "Equals." Nicholas Hoult described the experience of his onscreen love scenes with Robert Pattinson's ex in "Equals" to be on the weird side.

Gossip Cop reports that "X-Men" actor Nicholas Hoult and "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart play futuristic forbidden lovers in "Equals." The society wherein the characters of Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult exist bans all emotions, including romance.

As a result Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult had to go through numerous will-they-won't-they type of scenes as the "X-Men" actor and the "Twilight" star battled what they have for each other. "Equals" notably offers more than a few provocative encounters between Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult.

However, Nicholas Hoult was not necessarily weirded out by Kristen Stewart but by the scenes that the "X-Men" actor and the "Twilight" star had to bring to life together. For the most part, "Equals" director Drake Doremus allowed Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult a wide room for improvisation.

According to Nick Hoult, he and Kirsten Stewart were mostly left alone with an audio operator and a camera operator while Doremus came in from time to time for stage direction. Once the stage direction was given, Doremus would leave Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult alone with the two crew members to continue the steamy scene.

"In a way, it's very weird to do that type of scene," Nick Hoult shared. "It was actually very weird the first time I watched the film. I was like, wow, that's me, but I feel I shouldn't be watching it."

The Daily Mail reports that A24 Films, which released "Ex Machina," "Spring Breakers," "A Most Violent Year" and "The Witch," will co-distribute "Equals" with DirecTV. Fans can catch Kristen Stewart and Nick Hoult on "Equals" on May 26 through DirecTV and in theaters on July 15.
