Political Party Turmoil? Californian Celebs Kaley Cuoco, Demi Moore, Emma Stone, Patrick Schwarzenegger Et Al Mistakably Join Wrong Political Party

There seems to be a political party turmoil in California after tens of thousands of voters, including A-list celebs Kaley Cuoco, Demi Moore, Emma Stone, Sugar Rae Leonard and Patrick Schwarzenegger who reportedly signed up to a wrong political party. Based on the reports, this political party blunder could prevent people from casting their votes in California's June 7 primary.

In a new survey, almost three of four members of the American Independent Party did not realize they signed up for a political party. According to Fox News, voters were confused by the word "independent" in the political party's name, which opposes abortion rights and same-sex marriage as well as calls for building a barrier along the southern U.S. border.

In California, voters who do not want to be affiliated to any political party should check the "no party preference" option on the registration form. Unfortunately, several Californian celebs also committed the mistake, including Moore, Cuoco, Stone, Schwarzenegger and Leonard, People reveals.

Moore, who has reportedly contributed money and campaigned for outgoing U.S. President Barack Obama, has denied her connection with political party. "The Big Bang Theory" actress Kaley Cuoco has also released her own statement, as per Los Angeles Times.

"Demi Moore is not, nor has ever been, a member of the American Independent Party," Moore's rep told the publication. "Any record that states otherwise is a mistake."

"The views of this party do not accurately reflect my personal beliefs and I am not affiliated with any political party," Cuoco said. "As such, I am taking the necessary steps to immediately remove my name as a member of this voting party."

As for Patrick Schwarzenegger, a family spokesperson explained that Miley Cyrus ex-boyfriend selected the American Independent party when he registered to vote in 2013. However, Schwarzenegger was reportedly planning to change his registration.

"La La Land" star Emma Stone and boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, on the other hand, revealed that they are planning to re-register before the upcoming election. Other celebrities also confirmed they'll be amending their registration forms as well, Daily Express notes.

Meanwhile, other Californian voters have until May 23 to change their registration statuses, Glamour reports. So, what do you think about this electoral mistake? Sound off below and follow Parent Herald for more news and updates.
