The "Justice League: Part One" cast just keeps on getting bigger and better. Willem Dafoe, who played the villain—The Green Goblin—in Tobey Maguire's first Spider-Man movie, has now joined the DC superhero ensemble cast.
"Justice League: Part One" has already cast Henry Cavill as Superman, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ben Affleck as Batman. Although the exact details of his character are still unknown, Willem Dafoe is playing one of the good guys, according to an exclusive report from the Hollywood Reporter.
The DC superhero movie has already begun production just weeks after the release of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which has gotten poor reviews and underperformed at the domestic box office. As of today, the Ben Affleck movie has received positive reviews from only 28 percent of the critics at Rotten Tomatoes.
As for the box office, Rotten Tomatoes predicts that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will finish with $330 million in North America, which is way below expectations. Fortunately for director Zack Snyder, he has not been replaced as the director for "Justice League: Part One."
Gal Gadot will also reprise her role as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman for "Justice League" to join Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. Jason Momoa will play Arthur Curry/ Aquaman, Ezra Miller is Barry Allen / The Flash and Ray Fisher is Vic Stone / Cyborg. "Justice League: Part One" has a big chance of becoming much more critically and commercially successful than "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," especially with the addition of great actors like Willem Dafoe and J.K. Simmons.
