Gamers may soon get hold of the upcoming installment "Persona 5" as revealed in a website countdown revealed by game developer Altus. The clock is ticking with a major announcement expected to be made more than a week from now.
In a countdown on the "Persona 5" official website, Altus teased the release date of the game to May 5, Thursday. Players, who have been waiting for game updates, now anticipate the release of "Persona 5."
WeGotThisCovered said the game was supposed to be released last year but had to be postponed for 2016. "Persona 5" is expected to be available for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 this coming summer.
When it comes out in retail stores, the same report said that players will deal with Japanese high school students in who came across the Isekai-Navi in "Persona 5." This is said to be a "mystical item" which allows gamers to get into the hearts of other people and discover their intents. According to game director Katsura Hashino, his team has come up with a bigger installment this time.
Trusted Reviews reported that the game setting of "Persona 5" will once again be in Tokyo, which will witness the ordinary lives of students during the day and their transformation at night. These young individuals go down to a world they call "Palace" when the sun sets.
"[We are] going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance," Katsura Hashino explained about the "Persona 5" setting. "In the previous game, we wrote a story that involved having a justice group chase down a bad guy that could easily be feared by just about anyone."
For this next game offering, Katsura Hashino told Gamespot that the students will be the ones "chased" by circumstances because of the justice they pursue. Asked about their purpose for pursuing this story and theme, the game director said they want to let players realize the thrill of living.
