Pearl Mackie will play the role of Bill in "Doctor Who," E! Online reported. The new character was said to be "cool, strong, sharp, a little bit sensitive but, somewhat a genius."

A.V. Club added Bill loves to question everything and believes that Daleks look quite weird. However, Peter Capaldi told her numerous times that Daleks are not "utterly ridiculous."

BBC gave a glimpse of Pearl Mackie's role in "Doctor Who" with Peter Capaldi by revealing the promotional 2-minute video. The two "Doctor Who" stars were seen exchanging jokes and trying to escape lasers, showing what fans of "Doctor Who" are about to see.

Pearl Mackie described Peter Capaldi as one of the most brilliant actors. Mackie added that Capaldi's take as the eponymous "Doctor Who" is "wacky and wonderful." She even added that she can't wait any longer to experience new adventures with the Time Lord.
