Many are waiting for the arrival of the role-playing video game, "Persona 5." However, it seems that one fan is very eager for "Persona 5" and wants it to arrive earlier. According to reports, the "Persona 5" website was hacked and the hacker posted a false release date for the upcoming title.
"Persona 5" Official Website Hacked
Gearnuke reported that the official website of "Persona 5" was hacked recently, and the hacker managed to post a false release date and a PC version announcement. However, that was not all, the hacker also deleted the PS3 version.
"Persona 5" is set for PS3 exclusively. It was initially scheduled for release in Winter 2014 but was pushed back to 2015. After confirming that "Persona 5" will also hit PS4, the title was further delayed into Summer 2016.
Per the report, one user gained access to "Persona 5's" official website and added a date of July 8 for the game game's release date with additional details about the PC version. However, one user commented, "It was fake. Time to go talk to HQ about web security!"
Big Reveal For "Persona 5" On May 4
Polygon reported that the "Persona 5" showed a new countdown timer on their website, which points to May 5 with the words "Take your heart." Per Gearnuke Atlus will be sharing an update about "Persona 5" on May 4 but the July release date and PC version remain unconfirmed.
"Persona 5" Will Arrive With New Characters And Modes
Parent Herald previously reported that "Persona 5" would arrive next year with new characters and mode. The new modes will include cooperation mode, sneak mode, and all-out-attack mode. Meanwhile, "Persona 5" will feature four main characters - Phantom, the main protagonist, Ryuki Sakamoto, Anne Takamaki and Morgana.
