The showrunner hinted that in "NCIS" Season 13, Tony will be at a crossroads in terms of his career. This will pave the way for his character's exit, along with a number of guest stars to help with his departure.
"He's going to find himself at a bit of a crossroads, with some significant issues to deal with," he said.
Glasberg also told the publication that fans and viewers should keep a box of tissues ready when the "NCIS" Season 13 finale episode airs on TV. He also shared that the finale episode will have some "serious, heart-wrenching moments."
There have also been rumors that Tony will be killed off in "NCIS" Season 13 finale. While the showrunner did not exactly say whether or not this rumor is true, his statement has made a lot of fans worried over their favorite character.
"I want people to understand that Tony DiNozzo will always be a part of this family - but they should also prepare for an emotional roller coaster," he added.

In a footage during a Q&A session at Babson College in Massachusetts, de Pablo stated that she will not be back in "NCIS" Season 13 as Ziva. She also said that she had to leave the CBS drama because of creative differences.
