It looked like someone was back in the last trailer of "X-Men: Apocalypse," which surfaced online on Monday. The clip teased the return of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) as his metal claws suddenly emerged in the last part of the "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, to name a few.
Wolverine Is Back, Badder In 'X-Men: Apocalypse'
Hugh Jackman shared the certain part of the preview on his Instagram page as well. "W," the 47-year-old Australian actor captioned the short clip. It's pretty obvious at this point that Hugh Jacksman will definitely be granting fans' wishes as he finally joins the all-star filled "X-Men: Apocalypse" cast as Wolverine.
According to Daily Mail, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) has been looking for Scott Summers (Tye Sheridan) inside a heavily guarded station. "Well, you've been busy," Mystique told Cyclops. Scott responded by saying they "had a little help."
As the scene cuts to show the answer to everyone's question, the metal claws of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) suddenly came out before the "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer cut to black. "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner, who plays a younger Jean Grey, was also spotted in the scene looking quite surprised behind Cyclops.
'X-Men: Apocalypse' Shows Promise
Hugh Jackman last came out as Wolverine in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" in 2014. Moreover, "X-Men: Apocalypse" also offered a different kind of superhero squad in the emergence of superhero films this year, Wired reported.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" teaser, too, gave a glimpse of the baddies led by Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) along with his Four Horsemen. The group was composed of Angel (Ben Hardy), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender).
Beast (Nicholas Hoult) explained they might be facing the most dangerous fight of their lives in "X-Men: Apocalypse." "It's all of us against a god, and the most powerful beings on Earth," he said.
'X-Men: Apocalypse' Delving Deeper
Evidently, "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be action-packed but, it would also tell the stories of relationships and the past. io9 cited Mystique started to warn Professor X (James McAvoy) about the danger of "someone," who might be the Apocalypse or Magneto.
The "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer also showed some peaks of Charles in a heart-stopping moment with Erik. "Erik, don't join them," Professor X tells Magneto. "Whatever it is you think you saw in me, I buried it with my family," Erik answered.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" also stars Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), Monique Ganderton (Death), Alexandra Shipp (Ororo Munroe/Storm) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler). "X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to hit the theaters on May 27 and directed by Bryan Singer.
