Actress and singer Beverley Mitchell is expanding her family.
The 31-year-old mom-to-be announced she's expecting her first child with husband Michael Cameron through her WhoSay account on Monday.
"Can't wait to share this journey with you. We are so thrilled to becoming parents. It couldn't be a more exciting time!" Mitchell wrote. "Thank you for all the well wished!"
She later expressed her happiness by sharing the news with her 46,466 followers on Twitter. Congratulatory messages from her well-wishers have been pouring into the expecting mom's account since she announced the news.
"Oh my goodness, congratulations!! It's the best thing in the whole world, you'll LOVE it. Xoxo" one of the messages said, while another said "Congrats on your big news! Your little blessing is going to be surrounded by so much love and warmth, enjoy every moment!"
The actress admitted she suspected her pregnancy before officially confirming it through medical tests.
"My sense of smell was off the charts, to the point where I could smell a kid's dirty diaper from the other side of a restaurant," Mitchell told People magazine. "I was like, 'No, it can't be that,' I took seven pregnancy tests. I went to the doctor and had two more tests and they were like, 'Bev, usually when the first one comes out positive, the rest of them will all say the same thing.'"
Mitchell, who 's known for her role as Lucy Camden-Kinkirk on the television series "7th Heaven" got engaged to her long-time boyfriend Cameron in 2005. The couple tied the knot in 2008.
Mitchell also appeared in movies like "The Crow: City of Angels" and "Saw II".
