New Study Blames Hormonal Changes As The Cause Of Heart Attack To First Time Mothers

Heart attack is one of the deadliest diseases. The scary part is that it doesn't only affect the elderly, the obese or the smokers; even first-time pregnant mothers are at risk of experiencing it. A new health report that started making a buzz online on April 26 warns first-time mothers about their hormonal changes. Apparently, these changes are the culprit as to why they could be prone to having a heart attack.

According to The Inquisitr, the hormonal changes that occur to first-time mothers are deadly that it would eventually affect their heart. The hormone fluctuation that happens in a woman's body before and after pregnancy is serious that if not taken care of, it could lead to myocardial infarction. It doesn't matter how young and fit a woman is, when the hormones start to fluctuate during their first pregnancy, a heart attack is more likely to happen.

WFAA ABC reported this phenomenon and it is known as the Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD). This is dangerous as it happens when a pregnant woman is experiencing some hormonal changes where the blood that goes to the heart is disrupted. A huge internal bleeding occurs as well while that is happening.

This may all sound scary, but the good news is that it can be prevented. First-time mothers would just have to be more conscious of their health and sensitive once they started seeing symptoms that could lead to heart attack. Among these is feeling sore right in the heart. It is normal to feel sore once in a while when you are pregnant, but if the pain feels sharp and you started sweating and throwing up, it is time to seek medical attention.

Some would also pass out after having that feeling of being light-headed. Share this to your friends and loved ones because it could help save a life.
