One of the most looked forward to appearances in the new "Ghostbusters" movie is Chris Hemsworth. The "Thor" star plays the role of a nerdy receptionist named Kevin.
Sydney Morning Herald said Hemsworth's character shows an opposite of a dumb-blonde secretary. The actor was described as a person who applied for a job which he could not really understand. The worst part was he was hired in an instant.
"Kevin is a big, dumb, puppy dog," Hemsworth said of his character. Movie co-star Kate McKinnon tagged the actor's character like that of Ken Doll.
"He's a Ken Doll with the insides scooped out," McKinnon said in the Sydney Morning Herald report. She and the entire cast claim that Hemsworth is a big comedic act in the movie.
According to Yahoo Movies, Hemsworth's character thought he was also going to be part of the all-girls Ghostbuster team. The actor said that Kevin prepared himself to be a Ghostbuster.
"Kevin thinks he's going to become a Ghostbuster too," Hemsworth added in the same report. "He takes a whole load of equipment, gets a bike and builds his own uniform and is like, look, I'm one of the gang now," he added noting that there is almost no way his character could go wrong in the film.
"Ghostbusters" will be out in cinemas on July 15. The movie also stars Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Melissa McCarthy.
Cinema Blend noted that this all-female reboot promises an exciting and funnier version of the "Ghostbuster" movie. Director Paul Feig co-wrote the script with "Parks and Recreation" writer Katie Dippold.
Many fans, as per IMDB, awaited the return of this film with an all-new cast using Feig's expertise in bringing together an ensemble of comedy stars. When it comes out this summer, "Ghostbusters" promises amusement for the entire family with its all-female main cast.
