The sixth iteration of the popular action role-playing open world fantasy video game "The Elder Scrolls" is one the most awaited game today. However, according to new reports, it might take another three years before "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be released.
Fans Want Bethesda To Work On "The Elder Scrolls 6"
Neurogadget reported that there are rumors that "The Elder Scroll 6" title will be "Skyrim 2." Fans have been bugging Bethesda to work on the next installment of "The Elder Scrolls" series because the last series was made four years ago.
Per the report, in response to this, Peter Hines confirmed that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is in development but declined to confirm the game's title. However, he joked about the name "Skyrim 2." Could the next "The Elder Scrolls" title be "The Elder Scrolls 2: Skyrim 2?"
Leaked Details Reveals A 2019 Release For "The Elder Scrolls 6"
In an interview with the Telegraph, Hines revealed that they are different from other publishers because they do not focus on the number of titles they released in a year. In fact, he said that it is rare to have franchises similar to theirs.
"We do smaller stuff, we don't publish to scale, we try to publish to quality. Make sure everything we do is noteworthy. Our approach to that hasn't differed. Here and there we might change our approach to how it's presented but we've still stuck to who we are," he said.
Since Bethesda is taking their time when they develop a game and they will be releasing "Fallout 4" and DLCs afterwards, it might take time before fans see "The Elder Scrolls 6." Per CrossMap Bethesda releases a new "The Elder Scrolls" title every four years suggesting that the upcoming title might not arrive until 2019.
