'Half Life 3' Release Date, News & Update: Title Will Be Released In Full VR In 2018

"Half Life 3" is among the games that have been in talks for years, yet it was never made official. There are reports that "Half Life 3" is in development but the developers deny. New reports now claim that "Half Life 3" will be released in full VR after three years.

"Half Life" A Game That Has Been In Talks For Over A Decade

There is no doubt that the first two installments of "Half Life" were a success. In fact, gamers love it so much that they want "Half Life 3." As The News Independent puts it, "Half Life" has been in talks for nearly 12 years but there is no official release date yet.

However, per the report, Valve is working on changing the trend of technology. The company is planning to launch a whole new system of gaming and they will take a major leap.

Valve Will Introduce "Half-Life 3" In Full VR In 2018

Ecumenical News reported that Valve is working on "Half Life 3" and it will be a fully VR game. According to rumors, the "Half Life 3" VR title will be out in 2018.

Unfortunately, Valve remains tight-lipped about the reports and chose not to comment on the latest development. So, although it is exciting to see "Half Life 3" in VR, fans should take these reports with a grain of salt.

The original "Half Life" game designer Marc Laidlaw has already resigned from Valve. He also retired from the gaming industry.

One Reddit user named TeddyWolf emailed him earlier this year and Laidlaw replied that he is no longer connected or associated with the development of "Half Life 3."

"I am no longer a full or part time Valve employee, no longer involved in day to day decisions or operations, no longer a spokesman for the company, no longer privy to most types of confidential information, no longer working on Valve games in any capacity," Laidlaw responded.
