The first round of the 2016 NFL Draft on Thursday night did not really end as a surprise but it was indeed a wild one. According to ESPN, there were more trades this year and more quarterbacks were drafted in the first round.
Following the pre-event blockbuster trades and free agent maneuvers, it's time to take a glimpse into the 2016 NFL Draft round one. So, here are the top picks, losers and disappointments in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Top Picks In The 2016 NFL Draft
As expected, prolific California quarterback Jared Goff took overall top pick spot for Los Angeles Rams during the 2016 NFL Draft round one. Goff was followed by North Dakota State's quarterback Carson Wentz as the number pick for Philadelphia Eagles, Yahoo! Sports notes.

Losers In The 2016 NFL Draft
The 2016 NFL Draft round one losers are Laremy Tunsil and his bank account, Ole Miss and Twitter security, The Guardian reveals. Tunsil reportedly failed in the 2016 NFL Draft after his apparent drug video surfaced on Twitter.
The Laremy Tunsil Controversy
Based on the reports, the controversial video showed the much-publicized University of Mississippi's offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil apparently inhaling marijuana through a bong that was attached to a gas mask. It was unclear when the video was recorded but it circulated online before the 2016 NFL Draft started on Thursday night, The New York Times reports.
As for Tunsil's bank account, the player suffered a draft free fall and was passed over by each of the first 12 teams, making him lost millions of dollars. The deal for the overall top pick was projected at over $25 million while the 13th pick was around $12 million, as per Spotrac.
Luckily, Tunsil landed the 13th pick of the Miami Dolphins during 2016 NFL Draft round one. Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said that they're aware of the video, which was taken two years ago, before the 2016 NFL Draft.
2016 NFL Draft Disappointments
The 2016 NFL Draft round one was reportedly a disappointing draft night for Alabama. According to Bleacher Report, Crimson Tide fans were disappointed because none of their three former players, who were among the 25 invitees to attend the NFL draft, made it in the first round draft.
The unselected players were Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith (knee) and Eastern Kentucky defensive end, Noah Spence. Also among the talented group of unpicked players was Alabama running back and reigning Heisman Trophy victor Derrick Henry.
