Jimmy Kimmel and wife Molly McNearney are expecting their first child together.
Kimmel first made the announcement during a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres show that will air this coming Wednesday, according to reports.
On the show he announced: "I'm having a baby. Wait, I want to finish... with Ellen. No, I decided to have the first one with my wife. We got married in July and, you know, it's interesting. It's disgusting the way babies are made."
Ellen replied, saying: "Good for you. And why is it disgusting?"
"Well, there are so many human body parts involved. Did you know there are eggs in us? That's gross just to start with," Kimmel joked.
The 46-year-old TV personality already has two children from his previous marriage to Gina Kimmel: a 20-year-old son named Kevin and a 22-year-old daughter named Katie. Kimmel and Gina split in 2002.
Jimmy admitted to some concern for not having had enough practice when it comes to looking after babies, Star Pulse reported.
"I have a 20-year old son and a 22-year old daughter, and I've already forgotten everything," he told DeGeneres. "It's funny because I was just with some friends who had a baby, I was like, 'Oh yeah.' And there's new ways to do things. You hold them by the front of the neck now it seems."
The couple plans on finding out the sex of the baby before it's born although at first, Jimmy expressed that he wanted it to be a surprise.
The baby is a first for McNearney, 35, who is the co-head writer of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
