Artificial Intelligence News: Google Prepping For A Future Where Everything Will Be Run By AI, No More Devices

Have you wondered about a world run by AI (Artificial Intelligence)? A world where everything is possible with just a click of a button? Google does. According to a new report, Google is gearing for a future where you will no longer care about your devices because everything will be about AI.

Google Preparing For A World Run By AI

In the annual shareholder letter by Google CEO Sundar Pichai, he revealed that they have been building the best AI team and tool in the past years. Their recent AI breakthroughs have allowed them to do more.

The team is working on the power of machine learning and AI. Per DigitalTrends, these two factors will work together to give the community that things that they can only imagine. It will work in a similar manner to Nvidia's GPU-based system in operating driverless cars. Isn't that awesome?

Goodbye Devices, Hello AI

Per Business Standard, Pichai predicted the end of devices and the rise of AI. "Looking to the future, the next big step will be for the very concept of the 'device' to fade away," Pichai said.

Per Yahoo Tech, Google is not alone in their venture to shifting from device-centrism to AI because some of the industry in the computer business are also doing the same. Per USA Today's coverage, Facebook's smart assistant "M" uses AI, Microsoft has renewed their focus on Ai and Amazon's home hub, Alex is also an AI.

Shifting from device-centrism to AI will not be easy because there are expected challenges along the way. However, Pinchai guarantees that Google will be there to help the transition and he added that AI is a promising approach in doing our simple to-dos to helping us deal with major issues like climate change and cancer diagnosis.

"This is another important step toward creating artificial intelligence that can help us in everything from accomplishing our daily tasks and travels, to eventually tackling even bigger challenges like climate change and cancer diagnosis," Pinchai explained.

Are you positive about the shift from device-centrism to AI? Do you support AI all the way or with reservations? Does AI also come with disadvantages? What do you think? Share your thoughts below.
