Dan Janssen, 38, a woodworker based in Maryland, has eaten almost nothing but pizza for the last 25 years - a trend he began in high school when he decided to become a vegetarian.
Janssen told Vice that he consumes multiple 14-inch pizzas every day along with cups of coffee. In order to sustain his pizza addiction, he decided to work at Domino's while studying at Harvard University. He confirmed that he's fit, slender and in "remarkable" health.
He told The Baltimore Sun that whenever he goes to a new doctor, his bloodwork comes back great.
"I'm active, I ride my bike 30, 40 miles at a time. I feel great. If I could say anything to the men of the world, it's you can do it. You can eat two 14-inch pizzas a day and be fine," he said.
To avoid always eating the same kind of pizza, Janssen makes it a point to visit different pizza stores regularly. He also purchases frozen flat breads from a range of brands.
He told Vice: "It's like eating a completely different meal."
One of the best pizzas he's ever eaten was one at Pontillo's, a pizza chain once located in upstate New York, about a decade ago.
"Pizza is like sex - even when it's bad, it's good," he said.
Speaking of sex, Janssen confirmed that his unusual diet has not had any negative impact on his love life. In fact, on his first date with his now-fiance, they went out for pizza. Still, his fiance is slowly inspiring him to vary his diet from time to time.
