The Biggest Loser's Jillian Michaels, recently opened up about the shocking weight loss of the reality show's most recent winner, Rachel Frederickson, saying she "lost too much weight," according to reports.
Michaels confirmed during a Skype interview with The Huffington Post Live that she had no idea the former high school swimmer had dropped as much as 155 pounds by the time the show ended. During the interview, she said: "Nobody told me, like, 'Oh hey, Rachel is very, very thin.' Bob Harper and I had no idea."
The 40-year-old trainer then added: "So yes, I was stunned. Obviously I thought she had lost too much weight."
During the show's live season finale on Feb. 4, cameras focused on Michaels' and Harper's reaction upon seeing Frederickson's new stick-thin figure. When the winner appeared, Michaels was seen mouthing the words: "Oh my God" several times.
Jillian also told The Huffington Post in an interview that she was immediately concerned and wondered how that might have happened. Frederickson, a 5-foot-4 former competitive swimmer, dropped down to 105 pounds while her dress size went from a size 20 to a size two to zero.
Michaels confirmed that trainers are allowed to keep in touch with contestants from their team once they continue dropping the weight at home. She acknowledged the fact that somehow, Frederickson might have slipped through the cracks after the show's filming ended.
"In my opinion, this had fallen through the checks and balances. With that said, anybody who gains too much weight or loses too much weight, ironically these are manifestations of the same issue. It simply means that somebody is utilizing their relationship with food to manage emotions that are painful, hard, difficult to face or control," she continued.
