For players in the United States and Europe, Niantic will choose lucky gamers to try the "Pokémon Go" beta version based on the following criteria: 1) real-world games experience; 2) OS type and 3) element of luck.

Each player should first sign up on the official website of Niantic before the "Pokémon Go" developer sends out invitations. After passing the screening, lucky players will then be emailed and instructed what to do next before they can play the beta version of the game.

To download the game, "Pokémon Go" players should need one valid Google account and an Android or iOS-runned device. Additionally, fortunate gamers will need to sign a waiver to prevent them for leaking details about the upcoming "Pokémon Go" game.
