WWE's "Payback" event on Monday witnessed some great highlights like the win of Roman Reigns but also saw the injury of Enzo Amore. It was also during the same event that Vince McMahon announced that his two children will have full control of WWE Raw.
According to Gazette Review, WWE Payback started with the tag team match between the Vaudevillains and Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady who fought for a spot on the WWE Tag Team Championship. The match, however, did not go far as referees signaled its end when Amore hit his head on the ropes then slammed on the ring apron.
The WWE fighter was taken out of the ring with the use of stretcher. Gazette Review said he transported to the Chicago Hospital where doctors discovered that he suffered a concussions. He has been discharged from the medical facility but will not be able to attend matches until May 20.
Down to the main event for WWE Payback, Independent said AJ Styles attempted to attacked Reigns on his legs to destroy his balance. He was successful in landing his Phenomenal Forearm on his opponent.
Styles was also assisted by his pals Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson but Reigns also relatives Jimmy and Jey on his side. Reigns ended the match with a Superman punch that made him retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt during the Payback faceoff.
Another highlight of WWE Payback was McMahon's decision to let his children, Stephanie and Shane, share control of WWE Raw. Gazette Review said the decision did not quite "make sense" but claimed that it was good that Shane is making a return after his loss to Undertaker at Wrestlemania 32.
"I want blood!" the WWE CEO told his children on Monday as per Bleacher Report. It added that McMahon wanted to see both his children with aggression and strength to make sure that the Monday event was a success.
