There have been many cases of married people dying immediately after their spouse has died. This is exactly what happened in a recent family tragedy that involved two parents losing their lives within 24 hours of each other. But the question remains, what will happen to their six children?
Real-Life Heartbreak
The 40-year-old mother, Jennifer Norsworthy, unexpectedly lost her life due to a blood clot, Parenting.com reported. This family tragedy caused Jennifer's 38-year-old husband, Toby, so much grief that he died of a heart attack just 24 hours later.
"Toby loved Jennifer," church pastor Ricky Self told WHNT 19 News. "She was his world and so he was, of course, heartbroken when she passed away."
Children Left Behind
The family members also believe Jennifer's death was too much to bear for Toby. Jennifer and Toby married ten years ago and have three children during their marriage and another three kids from the mother's previous relationship.
Jennifer and Toby's three children are Mickey, 11; Aurora, 9 and Lainie, 6. Jennifer's kids from her past relationship are Quinten, 20; Riley, 17 and Bradley, 13.
Family members have immediately come to the aid of the kids who have lost both of their parents in a matter of two days. For those who want to help the children left behind by Jennifer and Toby Norsworthy, you can donate on the GoFundMe page set up by a family friend.
Adults can help kids deal with the loss of their parents and other kinds of family tragedy by allowing them to share their stories, thoughts and concerns about their deceased loved ones, Kids Health shared. These kids should also continue to do normal activities, get love and affection from other family members.
