Bryan Adams and his girlfriend Alicia Grimaldi are expecting their second child. The baby is due next year.
"There's another baby on the way for singer Bryan Adams and Alicia Grimaldi," the singer's rep confirmed the news to People magazine.
The new addition will be joining elder sister Bunny Grimaldi-Adams (18 months). The news comes shortly after the star's 53rd birthday on Monday.
The excited father later shared the news with his 236,413 followers on Twitter.
"Alicia's either eaten too much chocolate cake or we're expecting another baby ...I think it's a baby," he wrote.
Wishes from his fans have started literally pouring into the proud father's twitter account since then: "congratulations! lovely birthday gift for you!" one of the fans wrote, while another one said Hooray! BIG CONGRATS Bryan!! Xxx"
Adams' relationship with Alicia, daughter of the Isle of Wight's deputy lieutenant Peter Grimaldi started in 2004. Apart from music, Adams has established his name as a talented photographer. His latest works have been turned into a book "Exposed" that includes photographs of Lindsay Lohan, Billy Idol and Mick Jagger.
"It was suggested sort of a few times but it wasn't really until a couple of years ago that I felt as though the work that I had done would stand up for itself as one continuous body and would be interesting enough to actually make a book," Adams told CBS News. "I didn't want to be presumptuous that just because I've done some pictures that that would be enough...I think a couple of years ago I felt confident that there was enough there.
"The book actually has a lot of memorable shots. I chose some of my most memorable pictures, I think."
