According to Deadline, James Coyne is set to pen a rewrite for "Sherlock Holmes 3." Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are set to reprise their roles in the anticipated film. On the other hand, Guy Ritchie will take the directorial chair.
'Sherlock Holmes 3' Will Start Production This Year
The "Iron Man" star who will be taking the lead in "Sherlock Holmes 3" revealed that they are already talking about the film. "We're talking about it right now. Now. I can't wait. ... We can do some preliminary stuff. ... I know Guy Ritchie loves me as much as I love him - and he damn well should," Robert Downey Jr. said per Cross Map.
Downey Jr. also teases that "Sherlock Holmes 3" production may begin this year. "When we're making those 'Sherlock' movies it is off the hook. We'll attempt to make one this year. It really is a big deal to go and do those movies. I'm tired all the time, but I'm excited about it," he added.
Parent Herald previously reported that "Sherlock Holmes 3" is confirmed. In fact, the "Iron Man" star posted a photo, teasing fans about "Sherlock Holmes 3." Robert Downey Jr. was wearing a cup and holding something that appears to be a cane in the teaser photo. He captioned it with, "Master of disguise..."
