'Avengers: Infinity War' Cast, News & Update: Film To Focus On The Characters In The Movie Side, Will Not Include Marvel TV Superheroes

For those who want to see the Avengers together on the big screens again after "Captain America: Civil War," that is possible in "Avengers: Infinity War." Earlier reports claimed that "Infitinity War" will be flooded with superheroes. However, according to new reports, it will not include the Defenders that Marvel fans see on the small screens.

'Avengers: Infinity War' Will Have 68 Characters

According to Morning Ledgers, "Avengers: Infinity War" will include 68 unique Marvel characters. This number is quite big, which triggers many to believe that the Marvel superheroes in the small screens will join the "Infinity War."

"We have to tell a story and that story has to be built around the characters' emotional arcs," Joe Russo said. "And we can only have so many of those."

However, Parent Herald reported that "The Avengers: Infinity War" will not literally include 68 characters. "We had our office filled with cards of everybody who was alive and available, and the brothers came in and went, 'Whoa.' So that doesn't mean that everyone is, you know, there's not going to be 67 lead parts," Stephen McFeely, "Avengers: Infinity War" writer told Huffington Post.

'Avengers: Infinity War' Will Focus On The Superheroes In The Movie Side

For Marvel fans hoping to see Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Daredevil in the "Avengers: Infinity War," you will be disappointed because they won't make it on the big screens.

According to Joe Russo, the Marvel Universe is sprawling. There are still so many characters that haven't been introduced yet and they will be introduced in "Avengers: Infinity War." Russo explained that they have a tough job of telling the different story arcs of the characters, so they will focus on the superheroes who already exists in the big screens.

"We have a tough task just telling the stories of the characters who exist [on the big screen] in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, let alone thinking about adding the entire Marvel Television universe," Russo told badtaste.it via Screencrush. "Anything is possible in Marvel. It's certainly something we're considering. But our focus is on telling the stories of the characters that currently exist on the movie side."

However, fans want doesn't want a story arc for the Defenders, they want those TV superheroes to just have a cameo in "Avengers: Infinity War." Will this still be possible?

"Avengers: Infinity War Part 1" will premiere on May 4, 2018. The second part will follow a year after.
