Elton John to be Father Again Next Year

Musical legend Elton John is going to be a dad again.

The 65-year-old singer and his partner David Furnish are already parents to a baby boy named Zachary who was born to surrogate mother in 2010.

The same surrogate, who was reportedly selected through the Center for Surrogate Parenting in Encino, California, will give birth to the latest addition next year, The Sun reported.

"Elton and David love this lady like a sister and they feel indebted to her for life," a source close to the pair told The Sun. "Naturally she has been well rewarded. But her identity will never be revealed."

Earlier in June, John, who was the only child of his parent's unhappy marriage expressed his wish to have more children.

"I think it's difficult to be an only child, and to be an only child of someone famous," he told The Guardian. "I want him to have a sibling so he has someone to be with. I know when he goes to school there's going to be an awful lot of pressure, and I know he's going to have people saying, 'You don't have a mummy.' It's going to happen. We talked about it before we had him. I want someone to be at his side and back him up. We shall see."

John married German recording engineer Renate Blauel in 1984. Revealing his homosexuality, he later split with Blauel in 1988. John, who started playing piano at age three, started his relationship with Furnish, now a filmmaker in 1993.
