Chocolate lovers would be happy to know about this new study claiming that chocolate is good for the body. Scientists are saying that eating a bar of chocolate each day could lower the risk of having diabetes and heart disease.
We have always been told that chocolates could cause diabetes, apparently that is not the case, according to this new study reported by The Inquisitr. But even though this research claims chocolates could reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease, eating too much of it is still not good for your health.
The key is moderation. Too much of anything would always put your health at risk. Like drinking too much water could actually lead to water poisoning. In case you don't know, drinking 6 liters of water when you weigh 165 pounds could kill you according to Medical Daily.
Going back to chocolates, this sweet snack is so healthy that scientists are even recommending medical practitioners tell their patients to make eating one bar of chocolate a day a part of their lifestyle. This is not the first time that chocolates have been found to lower the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
Scientists dug deep into the subject and have also released a study stating that just a hundred grams of chocolate a day could reduce insulin resistance and enhance liver enzymes. Their findings were based on their data using 1,153 people back in a 2006-survey called Observation of Cardiovascular Risk in Germany.
They also noted that people who drank tea or coffee during the experiment and have noticed the presence of polyphenol. Based on their research, those drinks that are high in polyphenol contribute to the health benefits coming from chocolates.
