Kanye West, Taylor Swift Feud: West Blames 'Closet Racism' For Swift's 2009 VMA Win; West Can't Just Get Over Swift Even After 7 Years?

Kanye West can't forget Taylor Swift. It seems Yeezy can't get over Swift even after seven years! During an interview with Steve Harvey, West brought Swift's name up even though Harvey wasn't exactly talking about her, blaming closet racism for Swift's 2009 VMA win.

Fox News reported that while the Kanye West and Steve Harvey interview was ongoing, West brought Swift "out of the blue." Harvey was already saying that he "really wasn't" trying to discuss anything about Swift, but that didn't deter Yeezy from pursuing the topic.

Closet Racism - Not About Kanye West Nor Taylor Swift

According to Kim Kardashian's husband, it's neither about himself nor is it about Taylor Swift. Kanye West argued that there are many people in the country who "feel like they don't have the platform to stand up and express their closet racism." West continued, "Before they had that platform, one really easy way to express it was to say, 'Eff Kanye West.'"

Kanye West didn't stop at Taylor Swift, either. Another victim of his famous rants was Britney Spears.

He also tackled Britney Spears' 2007 breakdown when Spears shaved her head. "As soon as Britney shaved her head and they saw that money going down, they had already marked what that award was going to be that night," Kanye West said.

Taylor Swift Was Britney Spears' Replacement

Kanye West was simply implying that Taylor Swift was the perceived next pop superstar, replacing Britney Spears in the ranks of the hottest pop singers. He named the who's who of the music industry as the "powers-to-be" who saw Swift as the next big name.

Aside from bringing up the long existing Kanye West-Taylor Swift feud, West also talked about the people who disrespect Kim Kardashian. Perez Hilton added that West also took the opportunity to apologize to Wiz Khalifa.

How The Kanye West-Taylor Swift Feud Started

The Kanye West-Taylor Swift feud began in 2009, when West grabbed the mic from Swift as she was about to make her acceptance speech at the VMAs. West at that time thought that Beyoncé Knowles was the one who deserved the award and not Swift.

Although between 2009 up to the present, apologies from Kanye West were heard, and Taylor Swift managed to present the VMA Video Vanguard award to West in 2015, the Steve Harvey interview only showed that West can't get over the 2009 VMA incident.

This brings the big question, why can't Kanye West get over Taylor Swift? Remember in "Famous," he rapped, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous."

Is Kanye West dreaming of Taylor Swift, which is why he just can't get over the "Blank Space" singer? What do you think? Share in the comments below!
