Chris Evans Injured In A Stunt On "Captain America: Civil War" Set; Robert Downey Jr. Helps

They were known as rivals in "Captain America: Civil War" but Robert Downey Jr. showed his care for Chris Evans when the latter nestled an injury. The 34-year-old star revealed the "Iron Man" actor came to his aid when he got wounded in a stunt on set.

"I went to [Robert's] trailer and he put these things all over my arm," Chris Evans told People in an interview. "I did actually mess my arm up doing that helicopter thing."

In all of Chris Evans' dangerous stunts, Robert Downey Jr. said that the helicopter sequence would be the scene that would actually injure Chris Evans in real life. "Captain America: Civil War" staff asked Chris Evans to "flex and hold" on the helicopter's landing skids while it was preparing to fly, the "Sherlock Holmes" star described.

Robert Downey Jr. described that he came to the set to start filming while the crew showed him "a couple minutes [of footage]." They illustrated the shots they were about to do including the incident where Captain America needed to hang onto a chopper.

However, TheSpec reported while still on his interview, Chris Evans revealed he's still in pain. In fact, he said his arm "is still a mess" and needs Robert Downey Jr.'s care.

Robert Downey Jr., on the other hand, responded to Chris Evans and said he got his thing ready for him. Robert Downey Jr. used an automaic "pulsating muscle massage" on Chris Evans' injured arm, Just Jared added.

Meanwhile, Yahoo! Movies added Robert Downey Jr. graced "Live with Kelly and Michael" to promote "Captain America: Civil War." Robert Downey Jr. described his film with Chris Evans, "Captain America: Civil War," as a "smart and cool" film.

Later, the hosts lowered a piñata that bore the image of Captain America and gave Robert Downey Jr. a big colorful stick. The piñata was first hit by one of the "Avengers" lead star followed by Kelly Ripa and finally destroyed by Michael Strahan.
