It has been over five years since the first "Avatar" film was released. Unfortunately, until now, the sequel is not done and per news reports, James Cameron expanded the sequels to four. However, "Avatar" fans should not freak out, because it is certain that "Avatar 2" and the rest of the sequels are in progress. A new report claimed that the domain for "Avatar 2," "Avatar 3" and "Avatar 4" are now ready.
"Avatar 2" And The Rest Of The Sequels' Domains Are Ready
The Domains reported that there were registrations and purchases for a couple of "Avatar" sequels. MarkMonitor.com reportedly acquired the domain names "AvatarThree.com" and "AvatarFour.com" from third parties. Later on, it also registered the domain names, "Avatar2TheMovie.com," "AvatarThreeMovie.com," "AvatarFour.com," "AvatarFourMovie.com" and "AvatarTwoMovie.com."
The first two domains were registered to a third party last year and in 2013, respectively. However, both expired and dropped. The report notes that the domain name, "AvatarTwo.com" is owned by a third party in Massachusetts and was registered in 2014.
Per Hofmag, MarkMonitor.com establishes and protects the online presence of a business or Intellectual property. It is expected that "Avatar 2" and the rest of the sequels will be promoted online. Thus, there is a need to establish security.
Four Sequels On The Way
Parent Herald previously reported that the "Avatar" sequels are expanded to four. "We have decided to embark on a truly massive cinematic project, making four epic films, each of which stands alone but together forms a complete saga," James Cameron said about the upcoming sequels.
The "Avatar" sequels are designed for theaters and big screens first. The last three sequels are slated for 2020, 2022 and 2023. Meanwhile, "Avatar 2" is expected to arrive in 2018.
