Netflix Announces New Releases For May 2016; New Service Lets You Stream On Low-Quality On The Go

After a year of waiting, Netflix is finally releasing Season 2 of "Bloodline" this May, among a host of other original productions. The thriller-drama, which stars Kyle Chandler (of "Early Edition" fame), ended with a shocking twist in Season 1 and fans are looking forward to see how the addition of a controversial new character will figure into lives of the Rayburns.

While May is not really for holing up at home and binge-watching, the list of new releases is more than enough reason to, perhaps, postpone plans for the meantime. Some of the TV shows returning to Netflix are "Grace and Frankie," "Graceland," "Baby Daddy," and "Hell on Wheels."

For the movie buffs, the list includes the hit pom-pom wielding teen movie "Bring It On," Reese Witherspoon's "Pleasantville" and the all-time cult classic "Sixteen Candles." Fans of Kevin Hart will also be treated to several of his live performances in May. Here's the complete list of movies and TV series to watch out for this month, as published on Us Magazine.

May 2016 Netflix Streaming Updates

Netflix has just announced a new feature that allows subscribers to adjust how they watch videos when using a cellular data connection, according to an article on Wired. This is good news for viewers who are always on the road, because it basically makes the buffering time faster -- and phone bills lower.

Before this change, subscribers really had no choice but to wait for only high-def videos to open. When you're back on a Wi-Fi connection, the service automatically switches to the high-quality stream. The new Netflix controls will come in May 2016 on both Android and iOS devices.
